La importante obra de ampliación y terminación del estadio Manuel Murillo Toro podría verse empantanada por los líos en la expropiación de tres inmuebles, cuyos ocupantes no quieren llegar a un arreglo económico con la Alcaldía.

El gerente de la Gestora Urbana, Alfonso Carrero López, alegó que a su despacho lo tiene frenado la demora en la entrega de un avalúo sobre los mismos solicitado al Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi, IGAC. Cabe destacar que ya se completó un año despúes de que iniciaron las obras de desalojo de estas familias.

Dicho trámite es obligatorio al establecerse en el acuerdo del Concejo aprobado en agosto de 2009, que le otorgó facultades al alcalde Jesús María Botero de iniciar acciones judiciales para tomar posesión de los inmuebles. El precio que pagará el Municipio por las tres casas, entonces, será el que estipule el IGAC, que podría ser ostensiblemente inferior al ofrecido por la Gestora Urbana al momento de llegar a un pacto con los propietarios.
